The MEGA button on 18 blog posts works again
“Talk to Us and Learn More” pointed at a MEGA page that no longer existed. It now goes to /mega/.
We rebuilt the site as a custom theme built for FlackTek, replacing the page builder, and moved it onto our managed hosting. Here is what changed for visitors, for search engines, and for the people who run the site.
Google Lighthouse, mobile test, homepage only, median of three runs each, on the same machine, after a round of speed fixes that followed launch. On desktop the new homepage scores 95 or higher. The old site was measured on its original server, which we're keeping online as a fallback for now. Mobile tests simulate a slow 4G connection, so the times are longer than most visitors see; what matters is the gap between the two. These figures were taken before the unused plugins were deleted, so they don't yet include that improvement.
We found these while rebuilding. Several were visible to visitors on the old site.

Polyurethanes, Cannabis and Pharmaceuticals had old addresses that led nowhere. All four redirects keep campaign tracking tags, so email and ad links still get credited.
The Applications index sent Cannabis and Pharmaceuticals to dead pages. Every industry link on the index now works.
The old Blog page displayed nothing, so ten published articles couldn't be reached from the menu. All ten are listed now.
Resources used to repeat the Newsroom exactly, and the Blog had no way in. It now leads with the latest from both and links to each.
It said Medium holds 2 kg. Every other page says 1 kg, and the homepage now matches.
“Our line of machiness cover” now reads correctly. The Service Request and General Inquiries forms no longer label the address block “Schedule Your Demo”.
Paging past the end of the Newsroom used to show “No news published yet” as a normal page. Those addresses now tell search engines they don't exist.
Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn and Pardot all fire on the new site. Analytics counts each visit once, not twice.
Form notifications and password resets used to go straight from the web server with nothing to prove they were genuine, so many landed in spam. They now go through a proper sending service on their own address, kept separate from staff email.
The Free Onsite Demonstration TEST and General Inquiries TEST pages were public, listed for Google and had working forms. Both have been taken down.
The two previous-agency accounts are gone, and every remaining account has been confirmed by FlackTek.
The Lead Forensics script made every page wait before showing anything, and WP RSS Aggregator added a stylesheet to every page even though it had no feeds. Both plugins have been deleted.
Deleted. The new theme builds these layouts directly.
Deleted. Three overlapping tools for the same job.
Deleted. Our hosting takes care of caching and backups, and the move is finished.
Deleted. These were switched off on the old site or are no longer needed.
Deleted. Switched off on 5 October, then removed once nothing on the site needed them.
Deleted, with your go-ahead, along with the Careers application and NPS survey forms they ran. Careers now uses the Paylocity listing.
